Maoist Center’s CC meeting put off sine die

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: CPN (Maoist Center) has postponed its central committee meeting until further notice amid surging coronavirus cases. 

A central committee meeting was scheduled to be held on Friday to pick the party’s office-bearers following the conclusion of its Eight General Convention earlier in December. 

Issuing a notice on social media on Friday, the party's central office shared that the meeting was held keeping in view the increasing coronavirus cases, and orders issued by the local administrations. 

A meeting of the standing committee, however, will be held at the party's head office in Peris Danda on Saturday morning.
