JANAKPURDHAM: Janakpurdham has been fixed as the capital of Province 2.
A provincial assembly meeting held on Monday endorsed Janakpurdham as the permanent capital of the province through a two-thirds majority.
Of the 99 provincial assembly members participating in the voting over the proposal, 78 votes were cast in favor of Janakpurdham.
