NC postpones conventions of 16 districts
KATHMANDU, December 2: At the time when its 14th National General Convention is on its doorsteps, the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) postponed its district convention of 16 districts on Thursday.
According to the Central Election Committee of the NC, district conventions in 16 districts have been postponed as the Provincial Convention of the party kicked off today. “Conventions in these districts will be held after the National Congress,” reads a press statement issued by the committee.
The NC has completed its district conventions in 61 districts.
The sixteen districts where the convention has been postponed includes all the eight districts of Province 2, Chitwan, Sindhuli, Makwanpura and Sindhupalchowk in Bagmati Province, East-Nawalparasi in Gandaki Province, Banke in Lumbini Province and Kailali and Accham in Sudurpaschim Province.
