UML Gen Convention: Vote count begins, results by 3PM

KATHMANDU: Vote count for the selection of various key positions including chairman of the main opposition CPN-UML has begun at the Sauraha-based Hotel Seven Star. 

Voting for the key office bearer positions and central committee members, which began at 4 AM earlier on Tuesday, concluded at 10:30 AM. 

As many as 2,096 delegates cast their votes on the electronic voting machine. 

According to Bijaya  Subba, chief of the central election committee, the final results will be out by 3 PM today.
