UML 10th National Congress: Voting for new leadership ends
KATHMANDU, November 30: Voting for various positions including Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the main opposition party, the CPN-UML, has ended.
The voting period was scheduled to end at 10 AM on Tuesday but was later extended by 30 minutes.
The voting ended at 10:30 AM, according to Yogesh Bhattarai, Chief of the Publicity Department of the party.
Leaders KP Sharma Oli and Bhim Rawal are vying for the post of Chairman while leaders Subash Chandra Nembang, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Asta Laxmi Shakya, Bishnu Poudel, Surendra Pandey and Yubaraj Gwayali are vying for the post of party’s Vice-Chairman.
Likewise, leaders Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Ragubir Mahaseth, Chabilal Biswakarma, Lekraj Bhatta, Yogesh Bhattarai, Gokarna Bista and Padma Aryal are competing for the post of party secretary.
