Deceased identified, severely injured people being airlifted to Nepalgunj for treatment

KATHMANDU, November 28: Five people died and 27 others sustained severe injuries in a bus accident at Jajarkot district on Sunday morning.

According to Madhu Kumar Thapa, DSP at the District Police Office, as many as 27 people were injured and five others died in the accident. 

The ill-fated night bus (Na 6 Kha 2757) was heading towards Ridi Bazzar of Jajarkot from Nepalgunj met with an accident at Bara Khola near Kudun of Bheri Municipality-13 at around 2 AM this morning. The bus had plunged some 200 meters down the road. 

The deceased have been identified as Sher Bahadur [ariyar of Nalgada Municipality-10, Anil Nepali,18, of Kushe Rural Municipality-9, Sandhya Malla Shahi, 24, of Aathbiskot Municipality-5, her four year daughter Divya Shahi and Ganga Ram Yadav, 40 of Saptari district.

Of the 27 people injured in the accident, three have been referred to Nepalgunj for further treatment and are being airlifted.
