12 including NBA’s Chair injured in clash between advocates, security personnel at SC

KATHMANDU, November 18: As many as 12 people including Chairman of Nepal Bar Association (NBA), Chadeshwor Shrestha were injured in a clash between the agitating advocates of the association and the security personnel on Thursday.

The NBA staged a sit-in protest at the Supreme Court (SC) demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana.

The association has announced to stage similar protests in all 18 high courts across the country if CJ Rana does not resign by Friday.

According to Chairman Shrestha, he was poked by a stick during the clash by the security personnel deployed in the apex court premises.
