PHOTOS: Jewellery shops crowded as Dashain draws closer

KATHMANDU: Most jewellery shops at New Road in Kathmandu are seen crowded with shoppers as major Nepali festivals including  Dashai are drawing closer. 

Nepali women, who usually purchase gold and silver jewellery items during Teej festival, flocked to jewellery shops ahead of Dashain as well. 

Most market places in the Kathmandu Valley look brimming as people are busy shopping for the festivals, mainly Dashain. 

The hallmarked gold was traded at Rs 89,900 per 100 grams on Wednesday.
