Country to see rainfall next week
KATHMANDU, August 12: Most parts of the country will witness rainfall for a week as monsoon will become more active with the monsoon low pressure trough reaches near Tarai region, said the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
"Most of the parts of the country will witness rain for some days to come. However, rain will not be continuing at the same place. It will shift from one place to another," said meteorologist Samir Shrestha.
Today, some parts of Province 1 and Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province have received rainfall from scanty to moderate, with a change in the weather.
There are possibilities of heavy rain in some parts of Province 1 and 2 and Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province today night, said the Department.
The Kathmandu Valley today recorded minimum temperature 21.6 degrees Celsius and maximum 29.5 degrees Celsius.
Likewise, Jumla district recorded lowest minimum temperature 15.5 degrees Celsius and Dipayal recorded highest maximum 36.6 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.
