Four ex Maoist lawmakers move court demanding reinstatement
KATHMANDU, July 28: Four former lawmakers of CPN (Maoist Center) have knocked at the door of Supreme Court (SC) demanding the reinstatement of their position as the member of House of Representatives (HoR).
Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Lekhraj Bhatta, Prabhu Bhatta and Gaurishankar Chaudhary, who were elected from the CPN (Maoist Center) filed a writ petition at the apex court on Wednesday demanding the court to reinstate them as the lawmakers.
They said that they were suspended from the membership of parliament even without being sought any clarification.
The four MPs were sacked by the Maoist Center after they decided to join the CPN-UML following the Supreme Court’s March 7 order to invalidate the merger of UML and Maoist to form the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
The cause list has been scheduled for Thursday.
