KATHMANDU, May 23: Lawmakers of the House of Representatives (HoR), which was dissolved on May 22, are busy collecting their signatures before they make it to the Supreme Court to file a case against the dissolution.
Lawmakers belonging to the opposition alliance comprising the Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), Nepal-faction of CPN-UML, Yadav-faction of JSP and Rastriya Janmorcha-- are preparing to file a writ petition at the apex court demanding House restoration.
President Bhandari dissolved the House of Representatives (HoR) as per Article 76 (7) of the constitutionat the recommendation of the Council of Ministers,
The opposition alliance, on Saturday, termed the move as ‘unconstitutional, undemocratic and regressive act’.
