Lumbini Province: JSP takes action against four lawmakers, suspends their membership of party, province assembly
BUTWAL, April 29: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has taken action against four of its lawmakers in Lumbini Province Assembly.
JSP suspended Santosh Kumar Pandey, Bijaya Bahadur Yadav, Suman Sharma Rayamajhi and Kalpana Pandey from the membership of the province assembly after they joined the Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel-led Cabinet without the party's decision. They had, however, signed in the no-confidence motion registered against CM Pokharel.
Issuing a public notice on Thursday, the secretariat of the province assembly stated that the four members were releived of their positions according to the letter sent by JSP’s parliamentary party in the province. The party on Wednesday informed the assembly secretariat about the decision to relieve them both as the members of assembly and the party.
