COVID-19: 4,928 cases detected, 35 deaths confirmed in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, April 29: Nepal confirmed a total of 4,928 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), those cases were detected through the 13,560 tests including both the RT-PCR and antigen tests. 

With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 caseload has jumped to 317,530. 

Meanwhile, the officials also confirmed a scary number of fatalities caused by the viral infection in the past 24 hours. The ministry reported 35 new fatalities, which has taken the country’s death tally to 3,246. 

As many as 34,117 patients are yet to recover from the disease as of Thursday.
