CPN (Maoist Center) will have 299-member inclusive central committee with 35 percent women, 20 percent youths
KATHMANDU, April 27: The CPN (Maoist Center) has decided to introduce new provisions to ensure inclusion of women, youths and people from Dalit community in the party committeees.
A standing committee meeting of the party, which took place on Tuesday, introduced a provision of 35 percent women, 20 percent youth (below 40) and 15 percent from the Dalit community, endorsing the party’s interim statute.
Narayan Kaji Shrestha, party spokesperson said that the new provisions will be implemented with immediate effect.
The party’s central committee will be of a maximum of 299 members including executive positions.
The interim party statute will be presented before the party’s central committee meeting for endorsement.
