HoR dissolved to safeguard people's achievements: Minister Rayamajhi
Kathmandu - Minister for Energy and Irrigation Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has defended that Prime Minister dissolved the House of Representatives (HoR) to safeguard people's achievements gained from various movements. Stating that the government led by KP Sharma Oli has resolved various problems of the country, he claimed that it also played an active role in preventing and controlling ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The Minister was speaking at a huge gathering of cadres of Nepal Communist Party, Kaski on Friday. On the occasion, Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithivi Subba Gurung said those against country's prosperity and development had been annoying the government and party under various pretexts.
Directing people's representatives to join the party in an organised way, he maintained that there was a need to go for a fresh mandate to safeguard achievements made so far and continue the journey towards prosperity. Similarly, former Minister Jagat Bahadur Bishwokarma claimed that there had been infighting in the party and the government which was caused as a result of those becoming nervous at development activities carried out by the government.
Similarly, former Minister Khagaraj Adhikari maintained that the HoR was dissolved as there was no alternative for the Prime Minister, a guard to nationalism and a campaigner of prosperity, to going for a fresh mandate. Insisting that people have a faith and a belief in the NCP, member of the dissolved HoR Bidya Bhattarai Adhikari said that the government had not received any support from within the party.
