Gurjo saplings being distributed free of cost to help boost immune system

Kathmandu - The Ayurvedic medicinal herb named Gurjo has been planted in bulk in Siraha district so as to distribute it to the people for free of cost to help strengthen their immune power against COVID-19. After the initiative of Kamal Bahadur Rajalawat, a tax officer at Inland Revenue Office in Lahan, has planted as many as 95,000 of Gurjo saplings so far in the plot owned by the government.

The climber plant also known as Tinospora Sinensis helps strengthen the immunity power, enhances physical strength and releases toxics deposited within the human body system.

Campaigner Rajalawat shared that he has already distributed over 20,000 of Gurjo’s sapling to the Tribhuvan University, National Martyrs and Peace Memorial Park in Gokarna and various municipalities in the Kathmandu Valley for them to propagate the medicinal herb for the greater good of the people in the country at the time of present health crisis.

The Gurjo’s routine consumption helps bolster the immune system to overcome the Coronavirus infection. Its medicinal properties also help cure diabetes, high blood pressure and seasonal flu. But, the pregnant women and children below five are not recommended to intake Gurjo without consulting the doctors.
