Banepa prepares 50-bed isolation facility

Kathmandu - In its attempt to ensure a robust fight against COVID-19, Banepa Municipality in Kavre district has readied a 50-bed isolation facility. The isolation facility was set up at the building of BanepaTechnical Institute in Banepa-5. The isolation facility has separate beds for men, women, children and a nursing station.

So far, 65 individuals tested positive for the virus in Banepa Municipality and 28 of them were discharged after successful treatment. Mayor of the Municipality, Narsingh Bade, said that the active cases are being treated in different hospital’s isolation beds.

He added that the new isolation facility was kept at standby as a preparedness part considering the possibility of new cases in the town. Currently, four individuals have been kept in the home isolation in the new facility.
