Efficiency enhancement training for journalists of Chitwan begins

Kathmandu - An efficiency enhancement training for young journalists of Chitwan district has begun here. In coordination with Media Action Nepal and the United States Embassy in Nepal, the total 16 journalists from various media in the district have taken the online training, it has been said.

Public affairs officer at the US embassy in Kathmandu said training related to information is essential to make journalist more responsible and provide right information. Chairperson of Media Action Nepal Laxman Datta Panta said the training aims to increase efficiency of journalists and make media more responsible.

Panta, Dr Mofizur Rhaman, professor at the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Dhaka University, editor of Nepal Fact Check Umesh Shrestha, photo journalist Chandra Shekhar Karki and political editor of Annapurna Express Kamal Dev Bhattarai are trainers for the three-day training session that started on Wednesday.
