Kathmandu - Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has administered the oath of office and secrecy to Liladevi Sitaula who has been elected Member of House of Representatives from the Janata Samajwadi Party. She was nominated by the party from the Khas Arya quota under the proportional election system.

Sitaula took the oath before the Speaker at a ceremony organised at the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar today. The Election Commission has declared that Sitaula has been elected the Member of House of Representatives from the Janata Samajwadi Party under the Khas Arya quota.

Sitaula, who entered politics in 2044 BS as the member of the student organisation close to the then Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist Leninist), is also the founding leader of the Janata Samajwadi Party. Sitaula was born on Magh 8 in 2028 BS in Arjundhara of Jhapa district.
