Phulpingkatti landslide repeat increases fear

Kathmandu - Landslide has occurred two times at Phulpingkatti of Bhotekoshi rural municipality-4 last night. A local, Buddhi Gurung, said the people in the area are in fear after the occurrence of multiple landslides on Thursday night.

Two people were killed and three others from the same family had gone missing in the landslide occurred on Thursday. Five people sleeping inside a house had gone missing after landslide buried the house.

Two bodies have been recovered. The bodies of Yangzi Sherpa, 16 and Nima Shangbu Sherpa, 35, have been retrieved from the debris, spokesman at the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent Madhav Prasad Kafle, said. He said search for the rest of the missing persons has been hampered as the site is filled with mud.
