Youth activists on Satyagraha break fast-onto-death

Kathmandu - An agreement has been reached between the Health and Population Ministry and youth activists on a fast-onto-death, Satyagraha, today. Senior specialists Dr Roshan Pokharel, and Joint-Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, on the behalf of the Ministry and Binjwala Shrestha and Dr Santosh Poudel on the behalf of satyagraha group, signed the 12-point pact.

With the agreement, the youths staging fast-onto-death, have broken the hunger strike. The 12-point agreement includes test from PCR method for the identification of coronavirus infected people,

PCR test of all abroad returnees should be carried out, re-establishing those staying in quarantine and test negative for coronavirus in the society, revising the directives and guidelines issued for the test and quarantine as per the decision of Supreme Court and sending the circular to the Finance Ministry for the release of details about the expenditure of COVID-19, Labour Ministry regarding workers and Home Ministry on other issues within a week.
