Community learning programme comes to aid of school children during lockdown

Kathmandu - The Community Learning Programme has been run in Nepalgunj targeting the school children. The programme has made students, who were forced to limit themselves inside the house for the past four months due to coronavirus pandemic, active. Students have started giving continuity to their learning activities by participating in the programme run by Jayjanata Secondary School at Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-20.

School Headteacher Ram Bahadur Pandey said that they have started making students active in their teaching-learning activities reaching the localities as it is not feasible to run classes in the school following coronavirus pandemic. He added that they teach students in two shifts gathering them at a community building and public place by maintaining social distance.

Students are also happy after getting opportunity to read at their own locality even in lockdown. The community learning programme has been lunched after school distributed course books to the students.
