Six hurt in Baitadi stampede

Baitadi - Six people were injured in a minor stampede at the local Dehimandu Nigalasaini goddess temple today. 

The stampede occurred while sacrificing a he-buffalo at the temple. 

According to police, the bull buffalo that was being slaughtered escaped and gored the people assembled at the site, injuring them in the process. 

The injured are being treated at the District Hospital. Some among the injured have been referred to Pithoragadh, India and to Kailali for advanced treatment as they could not be treated at the district hospital.
