33 students demonstrating in front of Indian Embassy arrested
Kathmandu - Police have arrested 33 students staging protest against the Indian move of unilateral opening of a link road to Mansarobar, Tibet, via Nepali territory. The students carrying placards and national flags staged protest in front of the Kathmandu based Indian Embassy today.
According to Metropolitan Police Circle chief SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali, they were arrested on the charge of violating the ongoing lockdown. The student organization close to the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) had launched the protest. The arrested are Sudesh Parajuli, Yahu Lama, and Mahesh Shrestha among others.
