Maoist has not quit revolution: Prachanda

Gorkha - CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that his party has not quit the revolution though the party is in the peace process after the end of People's War.

Addressing a party cadres' training programme in Gorkha Municipality on Wednesday, the Maoist Chairman admitted that his party could not bag more votes due to lack of clarity on ideology and party's course of action.

"We had clarity during People's War. Now, the party is puzzled after the peace process. The party and leaders have lost their quality while the cadres seem lazy," he said.

Saying that some leaders and cadres were confused whether or not the party should have joined the peace process, Dahal added that his party has not quit the revolution rather it was devoted to the same. "Coming in the peace process is correct. Maoist's existence would have been collapsed like that of Peru if we had just continued the People's War," Chairman Prachanda shared.

On the occasion, he said that the policies taken by Maoist breakaway Netra Bikram Chand, Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Mohan Baidya were incorrect and it was proven from the people's verdict.

"A real Marxist will contest the upcoming polls in Gorkha Constituency-2 against Marxist breakaway Baburam," Dahal said hinting at no coalition with Dr Baburam Bhattarai in the poll.

The Maoist Chairman said that his party would not win more seats as the party failed to convince the folks though the agendas of republic, federalism, secularism and others were of Maoist.
