Govt withdraws ordinances amidst protests: NC

Kathmandu - The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has said that the ordinances brought by the government have been withdrawn amid protests from all quarters. In a statement today, NC Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma extended thanks to youths, students, NC cadres and other political parties and media at home and abroad for making the government withdraw the ordinances through protests. NC has also appealed to all to remain alert and get united. The government had introduced two ordinances related to political parties and the Constitutional Council five days ago amidst protests.
