12 injured in road accident in Banke

Ranjha–Twelve persons were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-1 in Banke district today morning.

Among the injured ones, Asha Basnet of Dang and Janaki Pun of Kohalpur Municipality as well as assistant driver Bhim Bahadur Basnet of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality were brought to Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur district for further treatment, according to the District Traffic Police Office, Banke.

Police Inspector Pabindra Bom shared that the incident took place when the Nepalgunj bound bus (Na 5 Kha 6449) coming from Tulsipur in Dang fell some 80 metres off the East-West Highway.

Police Inspector Bom said over speeding could be the reason behind the accident.
