Two killed when police, Biplav-led group exchange fire in Bhojpur

Bhojpur–Two persons died when police and Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led group exchanged fire at Bhojpur district headquarters this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Police Constable Sanjeev Rai and Okhaldhunga In-charge of Netra Bikram Chand-led group, Nir Kumar Rai, said Chief District Officer, Nurhari Khatiwada.

Similarly, Police Constable Khomnath Bhattarai was injured in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at District Hospital. Both Sanjeev and Nir Kumar were taken to hospital soon after they got hit by gunfire.

Doctors declared them dead upon arrival. Security has been beefed up at the district headquarters after the incident. Continuous rainfall has created problems in investigation, said police.
