Vote Count in Bharatpur metropolis halted as police arrest UML cadre
KATHMANDU, May 23: Vote count in Bharatpur Metropolitan City has been halted as the police arrested a CPN-UML’s cadre.
The police had arrested the UML’s cadres after the arrestee tried entering the vote counting center.
Following the arrest, the UML opposed the move and maintained that the party wouldn't allow vote counting unless their cadre was released.
It is prohibited to enter the voting center except the officials.
The vote count in the metropolis is almost over. Renu Dahal of CPN (Maoist Center) , backed by the ruling alliance, is currently leading the vote count with a huge margin.
