Security personnel in action in capital from early morning
163 vehicles taken under control so far

KATHMANDU, March 18: Traffic police personnel are seen in action on the main roads of the capital from early Thursday morning.
As the people are marking the Holi festival, the festival of colors, the security in the valley has been given the top priority.
So far, as many as 163 vehicles have been taken under control on charges of drink driving and defying other driving protocols, according to SP Sanjeeb Sharma of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division.
The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has installed checking points at 68 places in Kathmandu.
As many as 1,300 traffic police personnel have been mobilized for the same.
