Monsoon-induced disaster: 192 confirmed dead, 30 missing

Kathmandu, September 30 —  Due to continuous rainfall, floods, landslides, and inundation have resulted in 192 deaths so far, with 30 people reported missing. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, Rishiram Tiwari, informed that 194 individuals have been injured in the natural disaster.

In the search, rescue, and relief efforts following the floods and landslides, all security agencies have been mobilized, and so far, more than 4,500 disaster-affected individuals have been rescued.

Emergency relief materials, including food, have been provided to those affected by the floods and landslides, and free treatment is being given to the injured. The government has prioritized search, rescue, and relief efforts. Tiwari also mentioned that efforts are underway to open blocked highways for transportation.
