Eight die, 26 injured in Salyan bus accident

SURKHET: At least eight people died and 26 others sustained injuries when a passenger bus met with an accident at Kapurkot, Salyan on Sunday morning. 

The ill-fated bus (Ra 1 Kha 2552) bound to Tulsipur, Dang from Saylan had the accident at Kharkhola, Kapurkot at around 11 AM, Sunday. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Govinda Thapa, Saylan Police Chief said that six passengers died on the spot while two others breathed their last while undergoing treatment. 

DSP Thapa added that rescue of the injured ones is underway. 

Details of the accident are yet to be collected, according to police.
