Contract Employees Protest Government's Outsourcing Plan

Kathmandu. Contract employees of 18 ministries have staged a sit-in protest in front of Singh Durbar, alleging that the government is preparing to remove employees working on contract service and hire employees through outsourcing.

They have demanded the withdrawal of the decision, stating that the government's preparation will make the employment of thousands of employees working on contract service for a long time insecure.
