Man Attempts Self-Immolation in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. A man attempted self-immolation on Saturday morning in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu. The man attempted self-immolation in his rented room located in Kathmandu Metropolitan City–10. According to the information provided by SP Pawan Bhattarai of the District Police Complex Kathmandu, the identity of the person has been revealed as 45-year-old Ashwin Raut. He has been taken to Bir Hospital for treatment. According to the police, Raut had a dispute with his son. After the dispute, he went to the kitchen and attempted self-immolation. The hospital informed that 55 percent of his body was burnt, SP Bhattarai told Ratopati. His treatment is currently ongoing.
