Weather Forecast: Monsoon Influence, Rain, and Heatwave Warnings

Kathmandu. Currently, the monsoon wind has an influence in all areas of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, some areas of Gandaki province, and the eastern part of Lumbini province. The western and local winds have a partial influence in other parts.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, it is generally cloudy in the Himalayan and hilly regions and partly cloudy in the Terai. Light rain with thunderstorms is occurring in one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

This afternoon, it will be generally cloudy in the Himalayan and hilly parts and the Terai of Koshi province. It will be partly cloudy in the Terai of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the weather will be mainly clear in the Terai of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the Himalayan and hilly regions and snowfall in the high Himalayan regions.
