2,550 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 550 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. A revenue of Rs 1,724,503 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 102 individuals were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol, 142 for illegal 'ride-sharing', 140 for signal violations, and 207 for speeding.

Similarly, 56 individuals were penalized for not adhering to 'lane' discipline, 108 for honking in prohibited areas, 14 vehicles for emitting more smoke than the prescribed standards, 35 vehicles for being operated on the road without checking their condition, and one thousand 746 individuals for other traffic rule violations.
