Ministry of Law Begins Discussions on Bills for Federal Parliament

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs is starting discussions with ministries from today to prepare a list of bills to be sent to the Federal Parliament in the upcoming fiscal year 083/084.

Law Minister Sobita Gautam is scheduled to hold discussions on Thursday with Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal and Secretary Madan Bhujel, and Minister of Women, Children, Gender and Social Security Sita Wady and Secretary Radhika Aryal, the Ministry of Law informed.

Discussions with Minister Wady will be held at 3 PM and with Land Minister Rawal at 4 PM at the Ministry of Law. It has been stated that briefings will be taken from the ministers regarding the preparation of bills and necessary coordination will be done.

According to the Legislation Act, there is a legal provision to prepare a list of bills to be presented in the Federal Parliament by the end of Ashad every year, including their priority. For this, the concerned ministry must submit the list of bills in the form of an annual work schedule to the Ministry of Law.

'The Law Minister will hold sequential discussions with the ministries to finalize the bills to be presented in the upcoming fiscal year,' the minister's secretariat said, 'The Ministry of Law is preparing to send the list of all bills by Ashad.'
