Nepal Stock Exchange Index Falls 11.37 Points to 2755.41

Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed down on the last day of the week. Today, the NEPSE index fell by 11.37 points, or 0.41 percent, to 2755.41 points.

Although the market fell, the transaction amount increased. The transaction, which was 4.25 billion the previous day, reached 5.62 billion 56 million rupees today.

Today, investors in most companies lost. Of the companies traded, the share price of 180 companies decreased, while the share price of only 74 companies increased. Similarly, the price of 11 companies remained stable at the previous day's price.

In today's trading, 351 different companies (scripts) were traded 55,467 times. From this, 12,732,868 shares were bought and sold.

Although the overall market turned red, investors in some companies made good profits. Kalinchok Hydropower was the highest earner, with its share price increasing by 15 percent to 757.60 rupees. No company's price saw a significant decline today. 

Today, in terms of transaction amount, Aakhukhola Hydropower Company was at the forefront. Shares worth more than 55 crore 69 lakh rupees of this company alone were traded.
