People's health top priority of govt: Minister Thapa

Pokharebagar, Myagdi –Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Thamamaya Thapa, has said that the government has given priority to the health of the people for building a prosperous country. 

Inaugurating a free health camp organised by National Health Fund under Social Welfare Council at Pokharebagar of Annapurna rural municipality, Minister Thapa said, "The government has given priority for the treatment of people especially from rural and remote areas." 

She said that an arrangement of health insurance up to Rs 100,000 for senior citizens, above 70 years, has been made and added that the Ministry has allocated Rs 295.7 million to run President Women Upliftment Programme for income generation of women. 

Similarly, Chairperson of Annapurna rural municipality, Daam Bahadur Pun drew the attention of the government to help development of agro, tourism, hydropower, herbs sectors.
