Chinese national kidnapped from Thamel rescued in Pharping
Kathmandu, January 15 — A Chinese national who was kidnapped from Thamel, Kathmandu, has been rescued.
The Chinese national, Yu Huan Huan, was rescued from Pharping, according to an officer from the Kathmandu District Police Range.
Around 1 PM on Tuesday, police received information about the kidnapping from a hotel in Thamel. A team from the Valley Crime Investigation Office and the Kathmandu District Police Range immediately began searching for the kidnappers.
The suspects involved in the kidnapping were arrested from Bhimphedi, Makwanpur.
A team led by Inspector Lalita Dhakal of the Bhimphedi Police Station ambushed and apprehended two Indian nationals in a vehicle with an Indian registration number.
After realizing they were surrounded by the police, the kidnappers fled into the jungle with the Chinese national, but two more individuals were also arrested.
SSP Sanuram Bhattarai from the Valley Crime Investigation Office confirmed to Ratopati, "We have arrested four Indian nationals, including the driver of the vehicle."
