KMC observes 27th Earthquake Safety Day (photos)

Kathmandu, January 15 — The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has observed the 27th Earthquake Safety Day today.

Various awareness programs are being held across the Kathmandu Valley and throughout the country to mark the occasion.

In memory of the earthquake that struck on the afternoon of January 15, 1934 (Magh 2, 1990 B.S. according to Nepali calendar), at 2:24 PM, Earthquake Safety Day has been commemorated every year since 1999.
