NC, Maoist Center file candidacy for Mahabu RM Chair

Dailekh, November 17 — Both the Nepali Congress and the CPN (Maoist Centre) have submitted their nomination papers for the upcoming by-election for the Chairman of Mahabu Rural Municipality in Dailekh.

The nominations were registered at the Election Office in Gaidabaj. The candidates are Jhalak Bhandari from Nepali Congress and Janga Baral from the Maoist Centre.

The by-election has been called following the death of chairman Lachhuman Gurung, who passed away due to a heart attack after being elected in the 2022 local elections. Other parties, including Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), UML, and the Unified Socialist, are also preparing to register their candidates.
