Vandalism in UML vote counting centre in Surkhet
KATHMANDU, Oct 2: The vote counting centre of the CPN UML Karnali Province has been vandalised. Cadres of ANNFSU vandalized the City Hall in Surkhet where the vote counting was taking place.
Saying that the party took action against Satya Shahi, who is a member of the Election Committee of the UML Karnali Province Congress, the supporters of Shahi vandalized the City Hall when they were denied entry into the vote counting centre. The glasses of the City Hall have been shattered.
UML leaders and cadres have handed Shahi over to the police. After the polling under the first Congress of the UML Karnali Province on Sunday, the votes are being counted on Monday.
After the incident, more policemen have been deployed in the place.
