Two more women arrested for brutally beating 3 women

KATHMANDU, July 19: Two more women have been arrested for brutally beating 3 women at Saptakoshi River Bank in Baraha Chhetra Municipality-9, Sunsari.

The police arrested the accused women after a video showing 5 women brutally beating 3 women was posted on social media.

Durga Rai, 18, and Binita Urau, 22 from Barahachhetra Municipality-8 were the two women arrested by the Police. A team led by Inspector Rajesh Datta of the Mahendranagar Area Police Office is conducting further investigation into the case.

A police investigation revealed that a fight broke out between the two groups of women after a verbal argument was induced by alcohol consumption on the 14th of July.

19-year-old Priti Limbu, who was involved in the incident, was previously arrested by the Police.

The victim side had filed a case against the 5 women in District Police Office on Sunday. The accused side allegedly attacked the victims after they felt "disrespected" during the verbal argument.
