Bara: Devnath Rai Yadav, driver of Division Forest Office, Bara, is overjoyed. Son Rahul Rai Yadav got the ‘4 GPA’ in the district in this year's SEE examination. Yadav's son Rahul is the only student from Bara district among 186 students across the country to get 4 GPA in this year's SEE examination. He has been working as a driver in the Division Forest Office for two decades, Yadav did not believe that he would be so happy in life.

"I am very delighted. I had never imagined that even the son of a small person like us becomes excellent," Yadav said. "Actually, no one, rich or poor, cares about education. My son studied hard. Thank you for teaching very well at the school", he added.

Devanath Rai is literate only. Even though he does not read much, he has been inspiring his two sons to study hard.

Rahul used to read by himself at home in the morning and evening even apart from school hours. Devnath says that the school and home environment were good for his son's study.

"I am very happy that the son of a driver like me has achieved results that the children of millionaires and billionaires could not achieve," Devnath said. Now, he plans to invest in the subject of his son's choice for further education.

Rahul, a student at Brighter Academy, Simara, used to attend extra classes in the morning and evening outside the school hours. ‘"At home, I used to study for two hours daily, many things are learned/taught at school," Rahul said "Even if you read a little with your mind focused at home, you can understand a lot."

He said that he plans to study management and work in the banking sector. Even when many young people go abroad for higher education, he says that he plans to do something while staying in the country.  "I do not have any plan of going abroad. My only aim is to work in my own country, to be self-employed." he said.

Rahul also made it clear that one should not think that only getting 4 GPA is good. "If you have good behavior, you can succeed in life even if you have a low GPA," he said. He  is of the opinion that one exam alone does not decide the future of life.

Brighter Academy Principal Raju Karki said that Rahul is a very hardworking and honest student. "Because he was a good student, he was not forced to sit in extra classes," Karki said. "Since he was honest, we used to grant him leave to prepare at home in an open environment."

This year, 148 community and institutional schools from Bara district participated in the SEE examination. Out of which, Brighter Academy Simrama is the only school in which a student secured 4 GPA. Out of the 8,743 students who participated in this year's SEE examination from across the district on the regular side and 414 on the technical side, only Rahul studying at Brighter Academy has secured 4 GPA. Rahul Rai Yadav has also been honored by Rajan Paudel, the Mayor of Jeetpursimra sub-metropolitan city, for getting the best GPA in the district.

Similarly, Mahesh Kumar Gupta of Shri 3 Chandra Ma.Vi., Kalaiya has achieved the GPA of 3.91.
