Possibility of very heavy rain in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the division urges to be in alert

Kathmandu. Monsoon is currently affecting the country. Due to the effect of which, the rains in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces have been completely cloudy and in the rest of the land, there has been partial to moderate rain. Light to moderate rain with lightning is occurring at few places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali regions.

This afternoon, it will be normal to completely cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning at some places in Koshi, Bagmati Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and few places in rest of the province. Heavy rain is also possible at few places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces and one or two places in rest of the province.

Light to moderate rain with thundershower is expected at many places in Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini regions and some places in rest of the region tonight. There is a possibility of heavy rains in few places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and very heavy rains in one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

As there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, the department has requested to avoid the risk or damage of disasters like Gegran flow, floods, landslides and soil erosion that may occur in those areas.
