Bus accident in Lalitpur, 19 injured

LALITPUR, June 17: A bus accident took place at Imadol in Lalitpur injuring 19 people on Saturday. They are currently being treated at a nearby hospital.

The bus numbered Ba 2 Kha 8583 overturned in the middle of the road on its way from Lubhu towards Lagankhel on Saturday morning.

Among the injured, 18 are being treated at the B&B Hospital in Gwarko and one is being treated at the nearby Kist Hospital according to Inspector Hari Dangi of Imadol Police Division. Everyone's health condition is back to normal, he informed. There were 24 passengers on the bus.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus went out of control after over-speeding and overturned in the middle of the road. As it was about to reach Gwarko, the bus overturned on the downhill road and skidded about 20 meters.
