Writ petition filed in SC against government preparation to grant Resham Chaudhary amnesty

KATHMANDU, May 28: A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against the preparation of the government to grant amnesty to the guardian of Nagarik Unmukti Party and the Tikapur incident guilty, Resham Chaudhary.

Sharada Bohara (Kadayat), the wife of inspector Keshab Bohara, who was killed in the Tikapur incident, reached the Supreme Court with a writ. Bohara informed that the writ has been submitted to the Supreme Court and is being studied by the court administration.

The Cabinet meeting on Sunday decided to recommend to the President to grant amnesty to Chaudhary on the occasion of Republic Day. Earlier as well, Bohara had submitted a petition to the President's office not to grant amnesty to Chaudhary.
