President Paudel issues Ordinance

KATHMANDU, May 3: President Ram Chandra Paudel has issued a first Ordinance after becoming elected President on March 9, 2023. He issued the "Ordinance, 2080 to amend certain Nepal Acts related to the Civil Code" as the first Ordinance.

President Paudel has issued the Ordinance upon the recommendation of the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.

Sagar Acharya, the spokesperson of the President's Office, informed through a press release that the President issued an ordinance in accordance with Clause 1 of Article 114 of the Constitution.

Through this ordinance, the government aims to solve the problem of loan shark victims.
