KATHMANDU, June 24: A couple of days after the Supreme Court  (SC) invalidated his recent Cabinet expansions, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has shuffled his Cabinet colleagues and assigned them with additional ministers. 

After the 25-member Cabinet was stretched into 5-member following Tuesday’s order, the existing ministers will now have to take charge of additional ministers. 

President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on Thursday, assigned additional portfolios to PM Oli, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, Education Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Physician Infrastructure Minister Basanta Kumar Nembang and Law Minister Lilanath Shrestha upon the recommendation of Oli. 

The shuffle includes the following ministerial portfolios to five Cabinet members: 

1. KP Sharma Oli

i. Ministry of Defence 

ii. Ministry of Foreign Affairs 

2. Bishnu Poudel 

i. Ministry of Finance

ii. Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply 

iii.  Ministry of Energy and Water Resources 

iv.  Ministry of Home Affairs 

3. Krishna Gopal Shrestha

i.  Ministry of Education, Science and Technology 

ii.  Ministry of Forest and Environment 

iii.  Ministry of Youth and Sports

iv.  Ministry of Labor and Employment 

v.  Ministry of Health and Population 

4. Basanta Kumar Nembag 

i.  Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport 

ii.  Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development

iii.  Ministry of Communication and Information Technology 

iv. Ministry of Urban Development 

5. Lilanath Shrestha 

i. Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs
